About Melody Hills Rottweilers Here at Melodyhill Rottweilers, we believe that everyone deserves and opportunity to own a quality bred, sound and healthy Rottweiler puppy, be it a companion or canine professional. All of our sires and Damns are OFA ( Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) or equivalent, for hips and elbows. We also do eyes, cardiac, and thyroid on each and every dog we breed or breed to. Our dog’s pedigrees include the best German and American bloodlines,,, with some of the top winning German and American dogs ever for both conformation and working. A sound dog should be sound in both mind and body. One without the other is not a true Rottweiler. Our puppies are not for everyone. Our puppies are for the discriminating buyer that wants a top quality Rottweiler with an excellent guarantee and knows that you do get what you pay for! Companion quality puppies cost just as much to produce as do show quality puppies. X-Rays, tests, vet bills and general upkeep are high.We are breeding to produce an ideal companion with great health, vitality and good looks. We combine this with a great guarantee. Rottweilers are an expensive breed to maintain. If you can’t afford the price of a puppy, then you probably can’t afford to maintain the puppy in the way he/she truly deserves. We are also here for each puppy buyer through the duration of his/her life to any and all questions that may arise. Our Breeding Program An ethical breeder has a responsibility of designing a breeding program that will preserve the best qualities and improve the ones that need improving. This is accomplished by breeders who have years of experience and have studied the bloodlines. Melodyhill Rottweilers breeding program follows these guidelines. The planning and research that that goes into every planned breeding is an effort to produce the best, top quality puppies;excellent in type, structure and temperament. I am a Code of Ethics breeder. We like all of our dogs, and prefer the dogs we breed to, to be health tested for the following: hips, elbows, heart (OFA/OVC), and eyes (CREF), in order to try and help eliminate the many health concerns that plague the Rottweiler breed today. We are not a business and take great care in what we do. We are always taking reservations for upcoming litters and sometimes have young adults available for sale.Our kennel places importance on temperament and strong working ability. We breed for temperament and strong working ability. We breed for large heads with broad, short muzzles, large bone, and square body type.We would like to thank Von Ross Rottweilers and Ironwood’s Rottweilers for helping to build our strong breeding program. We would also like to thank Neu-Castle Rottweilers for helping us better our strong genetic line by adding their breed type. Our dogs have a great many MRC Hall of Fame dogs in their line as well as a variety o Gold, Silver and Bronze producers over the years. Having a strong pedigree if a strong attribute to our breeding program and we are always striving to improve the breed with each litter produced!
